Warranty on the Level June 12, 2010 T. M. Diehl (D.C.) Despite the current "most critical" review here on Amazon, which claims that you can't read the Terms of Service before you buy the product and is skeptical of this company, all you have to do is Google the company to see that they're reputable. And you can read the Terms of Service before buying! Just click the link in the "Product Details" section that says "Terms and Conditions [71kb PDF]". You can read everything you need to know about the warranty. With no deductible and guaranteed quick service, I'm happy that this warranty will protect me from manufacturer defects and batteries/keys that wear out. Now I just have to make sure I don't drop it or lose it-- both of which are NOT covered under this warranty!
Great coverage May 23, 2010 J. Shott I am so glad this warranty is available for such a great price! I have only had
my Zen for a couple months and nothing has gone wrong, but am glad to know that
the warranty has me covered!
Good to have protection! May 3, 2010 Robert J. Brownsberger (Pikes Peak) Definately one of the best priced aftermarket warranty's that you can buy. I haven't had to use it yet, but have purchased multiple warranty's from SquareTrade, and have yet to have a bad experience.
Are These Positive reviews for Real? February 26, 2010 Eastonboy (Lehigh Valley PA) 5 out of 10 found this review helpful
I have to wonder about all these reviews of SquareTrade warranties, including Ms. Jablonski's. The reviewers that gave 5-star reviews and were effusive in their praise for SquareTrade, are all new reviewers AND they have only reviewed the warranties; NOT even the products that were covered by the warranties were reviewed by them.
MAYBE they are all on the up an up and just truly love the warranties enough to review them. But let's just say I've seen a lot of companies have their employees (or just the Marketing person) post positive reviews to boost their ratings, and this looks like its happening here--big time.
Also, more pertinent to the product itself: why isn't the full warranty posted online so you can review the coverage BEFORE you buy it? I know I'd like to read the contract and view the full legal coverage and exclusions.
Worth Absolutely Every Penny February 2, 2010 5-spastic-kids (Columbus, Ohio) I have submitted 3 warranty claims recently: 2 with SquareTrade, 1 with company "Z".
SquareTrade's warranty claims are simple to file - just go on their website and answer a few quick questions and email or fax proof of purchase if they don't have it on file. I had to ship back an mp3 player (SquareTrade provided a pre-paid UPS shipping label) but I didn't have to send a Kodak camera printer dock so I'm not sure where they draw the line on that. Company "Z's" warranty claim required looking through files, websites, an automated phone call which referred me to a specific website, fill out forms and ship the unit.
SquareTrade sent email updates throughout the claims process. I was completely in the dark with my warranty claim with company "Z".
About a week after I initiated my claim, SquareTrade sent my refund via PayPal. It took company "Z" another 1-2 weeks to get a check mailed to me.
