Product Description Squeezebox plays a wide variety of digital music files, including uncompressed and lossless formats-across a true 802.11g wireless network connection. Enjoy the widest choice of listening options beyond your own music collection, including thousands of internet radio stations or the MP3 Tunes online music locker. This service allows you, for example, to upload your whole music collection from your PC to a storage space on the Internet which you can then access from any Squeezebox. It's music, your way.

great product, still room for improvement September 6, 2010 montrealtruongs This is a great product that has a lot of potential but you can see when you own it that there's room for improvement. For example, the unlimited alarm clocks are great, but requires to have a PC opened to manage the music. This is understandable for an MP3 that is on your PC, (so here an internal memory card or expansion slot would be great) but why would it be for a radio station that comes from your wireless router ? So the alarm calls the pc to load the radio station, brings it back to the router onto the Squeezebox. Imo, the Squeezebox should be able to manage this.
Also the display isn't very big for the amount of information you would expect from such a device, 3 lines maximum. If you're not tech oriented, the setup can be painful. this is no simple dvd player, the menus have a wide array of options and the use of some is nebulous until you actually try it.
Overall, I am still very satisfied with the product. Some modifications on the web control application would be nice, more independence on the Squeezebox itself, lack of usb port/internal-external memory (would remove the pc from the equation).
Logitech Squeezebox Boom September 3, 2010 BFrank The product functions as advertised. Setup was easy. Sound is good. Documentation that accompanies the product could be better, although there is more online.
Do not bother trying to use this as your clock radio! September 1, 2010 S. Schindler (Florida) Latest firmware update (which is automatically downloaded into the device) totally screwed up the alarm clock operation. Can't trust the unit will wake you up at the proper time. If you hit snooze, you have to hit snooze again 30 seconds later even though the snooze is set for 10 minutes. Sometimes the volume wakes you up at full blast, and sometimes the volume is half that! Logitech support can't figure out what is going on- this issue is a big topic in the forums on the Squeezenetwork website.
UI is the worst I've ever encountered. I have all kinds of tech gear from years and years of being an electronics buff, but this takes the cake in UI complexity. Endless menus and submenus on a small display, while it needs a full color LCD display- the dot matrix display does not give you enough information.
Product has a lot of promise and sounds pretty good, but simply is not polished. If you gave this as a gift to your mother, she would quit using it in a day.
Unannounced firmware changes which are automatically downloaded into the device can totally change the operation of the device.
No complaints September 1, 2010 Peets101 (Richmond, CA USA) The Squeezebox Boom may be the best gadget I ever purchased. It is very well thought out and has very good sound. It's a little tricky at first, but you can easily set it up to play your chosen podcasts which you easily select with the remote. I use it to stream Pandora and several old time radio stations which stream 24/7. There is a well-laid out menu which lets you easily surf and select radio stations around the world. The on-line instructions need updating. If you buy it you will not be sorry.

This is a great product, the only problems you charged too much for it. A few weeks after my purchase, I bought two, right from the manufacturer for about $70 less than I paid you for your product,
