Skylink Wireless Remote - Fantastic Small Remote Control June 27, 2010 Lena Pfeffer This device allows you to turn on and off any device. I use it only for short distances of up to 40 feet and it works perfectly. I use it to turn on and off my train layout. It is great if you want to turn on and off something which doesn't have its own switch or the switch is inconveniently located.
The remote is very small and light, and convenient to carry. You plug the receiver into an outlet and then plug the device you want to control into the receiver. The plug and cord on the receiver is short so it will hang from a wall outlet. You can hear a clicking sound from the receiver when it activates (probably from a relay). The remote has a small hole at the top so you can put a lanyard in it to keep the remote handy. I haven't owned it long enough to know what the battery life is going to be like in the remote.
It always works and the price is great. I would definitely recommend it.
Works Really Well June 13, 2010 La India (Florida) After seeing problem reviews with the clapper, bought this instead. Works as it says and I don't have to listen to my sweetie "clapping" after I've already gone to sleep. I am hoping to find a channel "B" one and use it for backyard Christmas lights this fall.
Works Great! June 11, 2010 Stephanie Epps (USA) My living room is pretty big (24 x 19) and has 0 overhead lights. I get pretty sick of getting home from work every night and walking around the room turning on and off the lights, one by one. Now I can push a button before I even pull in the driveway and the lights are on to greet me. I currently have 2 in the room and sometimes if I barely tap the button the lamp closest to me will only work, but that's an easy fix. The remote even works after our puppy chewed it up! I've had them for almost a year now and I haven't had to replace the remote battery either! I recommend if you don't want to spend your time walking around your living room.
Great product May 28, 2010 P. Losack (CANTON, GA, US) Installation was very simple. The product is working very well. Seems to do everything it claims.
Works great May 24, 2010 Steven Forrest Cotton (North Carolina) We got this to turn our water fountain on and off and it gets the job done.
